This is how you can feel tired in a good way, instead of exhausted

Do you recognize that exhausted feeling at the end of the day? You have no energy left and collapse on your bed. We get tired anyway, but you can also feel tired in a good way instead of exhausted. This is how you make the switch.

Tired vs. exhausted

Being tired is part of everyday life. It is part of our daily cycle that ensures we stay healthy. Our body signals that we need to recharge when we are tired, so it’s time to go to sleep. But being tired is a feeling that can present itself in different ways. This way you can be tired and feel satisfied. You’ve had a long day but you go to bed feeling satisfied. You have not crossed your own boundaries. When you do this you are exhausted. You have really used up your energy today and so you are irritable and actually worthless. Exhaustion can also have other causes. For example, as we get older, this feeling may become more common. Our busy work lives these days don’t really help either. Being exhausted happens to all of us sometimes, that’s part of life. It becomes a problem once you have this more often than not.

Be well tired

So exhaustion is not good, but we don’t want you to still be full of energy at the end of the day. This disrupts your sleeping pattern. You actually have to be right in the middle. Being well tired is the feeling of satisfaction. You are tired because you put your energy into things that are fun and important. For example, you did something fun, worked on something you are passionate about or spent time with friends. Good tired can even mean waking up in the morning after a good party and still being tired. It’s about being tired for a reason that makes you happy. To prevent exhaustion, it is good to think about the things that drain your energy in a bad way. For example, is it your work that causes this? Or are there other things going on that cause you to fall asleep on the couch in the evenings. Being aware of this is the first step in switching from being exhausted to being well tired. To ultimately make the switch, we have to make more time for things we would like to invest our energy in. You do it because you want to, not because you have to. That’s the key to ending up in bed with a big smile every night.
