Useful!
It is actually not good for your hair to wash it every day. Yet the temptation is great, because we don’t want to appear with greasy hair! Are you still looking for clever tricks to keep your locks clean between washes? Here are some useful tips for a permanently fresh head of hair.
Tips
Before you spray your hair full of dry shampoo and hope for the best, you might want to take a look at the tips below. Blogger Jess Keys explains how she keeps her locks fresh between washes. Read on if you’re curious about her ultimate hacks.
1. Blow dry
When you wash your hair, let it air dry as much as possible. To prevent your hair from getting greasy quickly, blow-dry only the roots (about an inch) of your hair. Make sure you blow dry this and leave the rest of your locks alone. According to the blogger, this would really work.
2. Use a swimming cap
“I have no idea why I rejected the use of a swimming cap for the first 29 years of my life. But this really helps against frizzy hair. Because even though my hair doesn’t get wet in the shower, the steam causes my hair to frizz,” says Keys.
3. Still the dry shampoo
Does your hair really look a bit too greasy and you really don’t want to wash it yet? Then dry shampoo can be your lifesaver. In many cases we only use our dry shampoo when our hair is already greasy, but did you know that it can also be used for prevention? Apply it before going to bed and the next day there will be no problem. Some know their hair so well that they know exactly when it will become greasy. They then use their dry shampoo the night before. But you could also spray it in your hair if you only washed your hair a day ago. Plenty of options!
