Daphne put her husband in the spotlight once again for the special occasion!
Yesterday was a party at Noordeinde Palace, at least: for Richard Krajicek and his wife Daphne Deckers. On Instagram, the writer, actress and presenter shares how her love received a special award from King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.

In the working palace of our king, the former top tennis player was surprised by King Willem-Alexander and his wife, with the Medal of Honor for Progress and Ingenuity. This medal is awarded to people who have distinguished themselves in an exceptional way by dedicating themselves to society. Queen Wilhelmina once established the award and Krajicek received it for his decades of social commitment through the Krajicek Foundation.

In the photos of the presentation of the Medal of Honor we see how Richard Krajicek was received at the palace together with his great love Daphne. In the balcony room of Noordeinde Palace, they toasted Richard’s special award together with the royal couple.

Special and cozy
Daphne continues on Instagram: “How special and nice that we could be here as a family, together with a number of good friends and dear colleagues from the @krajicekfoundation and the @abnamrowtt.”
Under her message it rains congratulations from both known and unknown Netherlands. This is how Prince Floris responds: “Great recognition for Richard 🔥🔥❤️”. Several followers also indicated that they think the award is more than justified.
Krajicek Foundation
Richard Krajicek did not receive this important award without reason. With the Krajicek Foundation, the Wimbledon winner is committed to the development of a healthy lifestyle for young people. For example, in the name of his charity fund, he builds manned playgrounds in disadvantaged neighborhoods, organizes sports tournaments, awards scholarships and organizes the King’s Games in which around 1.2 million children participate every year.
