‘I was really in shock, but I tried not to show it’
Bobbi Eden has personally experienced that health cannot be taken for granted. In the program De Kist, the model explains that she was afraid for a while that she might have breast cancer due to unexplained complaints.
Intense story
Bobbi was featured this weekend in the EO program De Kist in which she spoke candidly with presenter Kefah Allush about heavy topics such as death. She says that last year she suffered from an inflammation in her chest and for a moment she thought something was wrong. “I had corona and got a kind of chest infection,” she says. “I had implants, a kind of natural lift. My son always lies on my breasts. He thought it was so nice and soft, but then he said: ‘Well, mom, you really have a brick. Your tit is like a brick!’ I thought: maybe it’s because I have my period, I wasn’t feeling well. It didn’t really hurt either.”
The next day it only got worse. “My chest was three or four times as big. And they weren’t very small,” Bobbi continues. The doctor said it was fluid and that it would go away on its own, but it didn’t. That’s why a puncture was finally done. “I thought: yes, we have to be on the safe side. And this could easily be a rare form of lymphatic cancer. It did come in.”
Emotional
She continues: “I only thought about my husband and my child. I was really in shock, but I tried not to show it.” Bobbi was even afraid that she was going to die and decided to sort through all the things in the hobby room. “Because then I thought: if I’m no longer here, they will have to clean up all those things. They have no idea what a mess it is, because I’m a mess.”
In the end, it turned out not to be so bad and she was able to tell her family what was going on. “But everything had to be removed urgently.” So Bobbi had to say goodbye to her implants. All in all, Bobbi is shocked by the whole situation. “I hate looking in the mirror now. I think that’s really bad. You are then confronted with the fact (…) that I would no longer be there, that things could have turned out very differently.”
