Aww! Princess Charlene visits the maternity ward in the hospital

Of course, the princess was dressed in style again.

Highly honored visit for a number of newborn babies in Monaco: Princess Charlene visited the maternity ward of the Princess Grace Hospital Center. And that produces some endearing snapshots.

Maternity ward

Charlene is vice-president of the Monegasque Red Cross, and in that role she annually visits the newborn babies at the Princess Grace Hospital Center in Monaco. This hospital is named after the late Princess Grace, Prince Albert’s mother. During the visit, she took a look at all the newborns in the department, and of course she was able to congratulate the new parents.

The royal family shares a number of beautiful photos of these special encounters on Instagram. They write: “On Friday, May 31, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlène, Vice President of the Red Cross of Monaco, went to the maternity ward of the Princess Grace Hospital Center to meet the newborns and congratulate the young parents.”

Power suit

As we have come to expect from Charlene, she was once again dressed to the nines for this occasion. Her Serene Highness opted for a soft pink blazer and trousers, which she seems to have coordinated with the pink outfits of the hospital staff. She completes her ensemble, from the Ralph Lauren collection, with a white t-shirt, nude-colored heels and elegant pearl earrings.

Grand Prix

The princess normally makes this visit on Mother’s Day (May 26 in Monaco), but this year she had slightly different priorities on that day. This day fell in the middle of the weekend of the annual Grand Prix from Monaco.

All weekend long, the microstate of the mega-rich was dominated by Formula 1. Of course, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene are always closely involved, and the victory of princely neighbor Charles Leclerc made this an emotional weekend for Their Serene Highnesses. As a child at home with the princely couple, it is not surprising that they sympathized with the young driver. Via their official Instagram account, the princely court spoke of a ‘historic victory’ in the Principality.
