This can not be missed!
We still have to be patient for a while until we can finally enjoy the drama series PATTY, about the life of Patty Brard. Although our patience is being tested (the editors have had the popcorn ready for weeks), Videoland is treating us today to a nice sneak peek of what we can expect with an extensive trailer. And it bodes well!
A phenomenon
The countdown can now really begin! The time has come next Sunday, February 18. Then the new Videoland Original series PATTY can be streamed in its entirety at Videoland. The five-part drama series, based on an idea by Will Koopman, is inspired by the life of one of the most famous women in the Dutch showbiz world: Patty Brard.
Patty Brard is a phenomenon, and we love Patty like Patty loves leopard print. A woman who has been shaking up Dutch showbiz in an exuberant way for years, but has shown that no matter how deep you fall and how broke you are, you are always able to make your own ends meet in ‘a man’s world’ .
Fall and rise
“PATTY is about trial and error. I really wanted to make this series because this woman has fallen quite a few times, but has always climbed back up and reinvented herself,” says Will Koopman. “I have enormous admiration for that.”
Below you can see the full trailer for PATTY. The first images immediately bode well! We really go back in time – not only in the story, but also in terms of look and feel. It starts with Patty in her younger years and then moves towards the here and now.
The cast
The young Patty is played by Holly Mae Brood, after which Eva van de Wijdeven takes over the role. The girls of the group Luv’ are played by Julia Lammerts (José) and Teunie de Brouwer (Marga). Dook van Dijck takes on the role of Gerard Joling, the presenter of Star Jumping.
Patty’s ex-husbands are played by Chris Peters as Patty’s first husband Ron, Lorenzo de Moor as her Italian ex-husband Carlo and Jim Bakkum in the role of her third ex: René. Teun Luijkx is businessman Eric who plays an important role in her bankruptcy. Reinout Scholten van Aschat is Luv’ producer Hans and Mattijn Hartemink plays Patty’s current husband Antoine.
Nadja Hüpscher and Bo Tarenskeen are Patty’s parents and Astrid van Eck is her older sister Shirley. Zoé van Weert plays the young Shirley and Delila Goudriaan can be seen as a thirteen-year-old version of her sister. Patty’s young daughter Priscilla is played by Dewi Welschen and Emma Buysse plays the older Priscilla. Vesper Wormer is the young Patty who arrives in the Netherlands with her parents. A huge and talented cast that will undoubtedly create a beautiful story. We can’t wait!
PATTY can be binged on Videoland from Sunday, February 18 at 5:00 PM and the Videoland TV premiere of the first episode of PATTY can be seen on RTL 4 on February 18 at 10:20 PM.
