These festivals are hot this summer
1. Intents (May 31 to June 2)
One of the largest and most innovative hardstyle festivals in the Netherlands is Intents. It is a three-day event and the emphasis is on the harder styles of dance music. Next to the festival site there is also a campsite. From simple tents to luxurious accommodations. Fantastic artists will blow you away. From Adjutzt to D-Block & Stefan. 2. Pinkpop (21 to 23 June)
Pinkpop has been taking place in Landgraaf, Limburg, for more than fifty years. Pinkpop attracts around 70,000 visitors per day. According to the Guinness Book of Records, this is the oldest continuously organized pop festival. You can also stay at the campsite at Pinkpop. This way you can enjoy it for an extra long time. From Nothing But Thieves to Sam Smith are on stage this year. Awesome!
3. Defqon (27 to 30 June)
Defqon should not be missing from your list. This is the festival when it comes to hardstyle. Every year this event takes place in Biddinghuizen. This year is the anniversary year, it is being organized for the twentieth time. The theme this year is Power of the Tribe. With more than 350 artists, cool final shows and real bangers, you have to be there. From uptempo to terror. What do you do best at?
4. Zwarte Cross (July 18 to 21)
The largest festival in the Netherlands is the Zwarte Cross. With no less than 240,000 visitors in one weekend. With theater and fantastic shows and more than twenty internships. Oh yes and not to forget the serious motocross riders who participate. You will be amazed by this day. The Zwarte Cross also brings together many different artists. Think of Davina Michelle, BLØF and Josylvio.
5. Tomorrowland (July 19 to 21 & July 26 to 28)
Tomorrowland is spread over no fewer than two weekends. In Belgium it takes place every year. Festival goers can enjoy more than 600 artists and no fewer than 17 stages. There are many different types of music available, such as techno, house, harstyle and dance music. On weekends you can stay in the village of “Dreamville”. Do you listen to Armin van Buuren or do you go for Dimitri Vegas?
6. Lowlands (16 to 18 August)
In Biddinghuizen you can find Lowlands. Festival goers can go to more than seven campsites. The most famous, but also unknown artists can be found on the stages. But what really makes Lowlands special? Especially the program with the stand-up comedians. Think of Arjen Lubach or Rundfunk. Check out the line-up quickly, because you don’t want to miss this one.
7. Mysteryland (August 30 to September 1)
Last but not least is Mysteryland at the Haarlemmermeer. With sixteen stages and more than 300 artists, you must experience this at least once. Each internship has a different theme, so that there is something for all target groups. Dance along to the hits of Kriss Kross Amsterdam or enjoy the beats of Sefa.
