Even more royal snaps: yes please!
Although the life of the House of Orange remains largely hidden behind the palace walls, we are allowed to enjoy a bit through social media every now and then. This was previously possible on Instagram and X, but from now on we can also follow King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima on Threads.
Personal pictures on the gram
When it comes to progressive royals, we are quite lucky in the Netherlands. While in many royal families it is still a bit not done to share everything with ‘the common people’, the House of Orange does not hesitate to throw something on the gram every now and then. And we’re not just talking about stately snapshots: no, much more personal photos also appear on social media on a regular basis. For example, Wim-Lex recently photographed his youngest daughter when she left for Italy, and he made a video of Alexia raising the flag to receive her diploma.
New channel
So far we have mainly seen such photos and videos of the Oranjes on Instagram and a third channel has already been added. We can now also follow the Royal House on the Meta-alternative to X: Threads.
Warm welcome
On Threads the Oranges give an extra insight into their royal life. And it’s not just us who are happy with that, as can be seen from the responses on Threads. A warm welcome awaits the Oranjes. “Willy and Max have joined the party!”, someone writes. “Welcome! It is much nicer here than on X, so enjoy here,” said another follower. Requests are also immediately made: “Do you also have cat videos? I’m here for the cat videos,” says one. As far as we know, the Oranges don’t have any cats – perhaps a nice video of the dog Mambo?
