Although all eyes were on the (still) empty Instagram account @meghan, the Duchess surprised us with a brand new social media account under the name American Riviera Orchard. The page was launched with a dreamy video of Meghan in the kitchen.
And not without success, because the account gathered more than 300,000 followers in just a few hours. The American entertainment site Page Six already reported that Meghan would focus on lifestyle, food and drinks. We should also expect cookbooks from the Duchess. However, new information obtained by The Daily Mail suggests that Meg may choose a different path.

Trademark applications for her new brand show that the duchess is also strongly committed to beauty and care products. For example, items such as ‘lavender scented sachets, non-medical skin care products, bath soap, non-medical hand soap, body lotions and cosmetics’ have been added to the list. This way we can soon appear just as radiant as the Duchess!
Previous patent applications, which can easily be found via the World Intellectual Property Organization database, already showed that Meghan’s new brand wanted to focus on all kinds of lifestyle, kitchen and interior products. From napkin ring to herb mix and from garden tools to yoga mat: Megs clearly has big plans!

Your pet could also soon enjoy a ducal treatment à la Meghan. While it was clear in previous applications that American Riviera Orchard also wanted to offer products such as food, feeding bowls and leashes, it now appears that the Sussexes are planning items such as dog shampoo.

In addition to all those patent applications, we still have very little concrete information about the plans for American Riviera Orchard.
