In the third episode of The Bachelor we see that Bacherlor Paul and Beate have a one-on-one date together. Beate was still owed this date after receiving the white rose in the first episode. Unfortunately, this date doesn’t turn out all that well, especially for Beate. They have a disagreement and that makes Beate hesitate to stay any longer for Bachelor Paul.

Beate and Paul
During the date, Paul and Beate talk about what they find important in a relationship. Paul indicates that he thinks it is important that his future partner also has his own life outside the relationship. Beate completely disagrees with this. She is used to doing everything together and believes that as a couple you should spend a lot of time together. Paul also wants to spend time with his friends. “If you are always together, there can sometimes be a controlling element,” Paul says in the broadcast.

A disappointed Beate
Beate is quite disappointed in Paul. Not only after this date, but actually before that. She shows this in her body language and expresses it in her quotes. “On the one hand, I understand very well that they obviously have to pay attention to everyone, but on the other hand, I’m used to special treatment and I just don’t get that here,” she says. This makes her doubt whether she wants to stay longer. It is therefore difficult to receive such special treatment when you are with so many other ladies who also want just as much attention from their Bachelor.
The rose ceremoine
Paul doubts whether Beate is the one for him after she shares her honest opinion (which he appreciates, by the way). That ‘freedom thing’ makes him doubt, but Beate also develops doubts because of it. This was also because she didn’t get any attention from Paul after the cocktail party. “I don’t like this hot ‘n cold’ behavior,” she says. At the rose ceremony, Beate indicates that she will accept the rose if she receives it, but that she would like to discuss some things. “Because let’s be honest: there are two Bachelors, so I have options too,” she says. Beate ultimately gets a rose, so we are very curious about this sequel.
