The princely couple really went all out!
It can hardly have escaped your attention that preparations for the Olympic Games next month are in full swing. Paris is now being transformed into a true athletes’ paradise, and the participating countries are putting the finishing touches on participants, training and outfits. This also applies to Monaco, where Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, as former Olympians, were of course happy to present their team to the world.

He is a bobsledder, she is a swimmer – with Their Serene Highnesses’ sporting background, it is not surprising that they are completely revitalized now that the Olympic Games are in sight. Yesterday the presentation of the five Monegasque athletes took place at the local Yacht Club, where the princely couple also dressed up in Olympic outfits!
If you are a top athlete and are going to represent your country at the biggest tournament in the world, you better look good. No sooner said than done: the five athletes who will compete for an Olympic medal next month will be stylishly dressed in the colours of the Monegasque flag, with clear French, nautical influences.
Prince Albert was also not afraid to put on a suitable outfit for the occasion: from a matching blazer to a red and white tie! The prince is clearly looking forward to a sporty summer, if we see this that way.
This is perhaps the first time that Albert has managed to outshine his Charlene. Of course, that snow-white Emporio Armani SAS suit looks great, but a set of red pumps or a beautiful red lipstick would have been nice for solidarity, nun?
Olympics
Anyway, of course this event was actually about the athletes, and not about the princely couple. During the presentation, Prince Albert took the time to say a few words and put the five athletes in the spotlight. Will the Serene Highnesses also find time in their busy schedules to cheer on their team from the stands in Paris? Who knows!
