A simple trick solves all problems.
Now that it’s winter, we wear a lot of tights under our dresses and skirts – and sometimes just under trousers because it’s nice and warm. The only disadvantage is that sometimes a ladder can form in your tights. Of course you want to prevent that! With this simple trick, your tights will remain undamaged and you will enjoy them for longer.
Ladder alert
Anyone who has ever worn tights knows how annoying it can be when there is a ladder in them. You are on your guard all day long to keep your tights as safe as possible. When a ladder does come in, many women reach for nail polish to ensure that the ladder does not move any further. However, this is not the solution.
Freezer
What should you do then? Freeze your pantyhose! It sounds strange and takes quite a bit of time, but it works. If you have bought new pantyhose, dampen them under the tap, put the pantyhose in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer. Leave the tights in there overnight and then hang them out.
You may wonder what effect a freezer has on your pantyhose. The cold temperature of the freezer makes the fibers of your tights a lot stronger, so they are less likely to get stuck. Useful!
Good all day
This may have solved one of the pantyhose struggles, but how do you ensure that your pantyhose stay in place all day? You don’t have to purchase royalty-approved tights, but you do need to purchase extra underwear. Huh? Yes! By putting on extra underwear over your tights, you ensure that they do not fall down. This trick works best with tight underwear. It may not look very fancy, but with a skirt or dress over it, no one has to see it. And you will benefit from it all day long.
