On Friday afternoon, victim advocate Ruth Jager dropped a direct bombshell in court. She revealed that she had received a call from none other than Michael Ruperti, the lawyer of top criminal Ridouan Taghi. Guess what? He called her on behalf of Ali B to ‘advise’ her to withdraw Ellen ten Damme’s statement.

“Ruperti informed me that he had come into contact with Ali through someone, he could not say who. He had spoken to Ali and he told me that Ali had a solid case,” Jager said in court today.
Threat or advice?
According to Jager, Ruperti told her that “a lot of nasty things about Ellen ten Damme” would come out during the hearing. He just wanted to let her know that Ellen would not be happy about that and her management certainly not. To prevent all that misery from ending up on the street, it was better for Ellen to withdraw her statement. Oh dear. This sounds more like a threat than advice, if you ask us!
Ali B abuses his power and influence
Jager drew a stark conclusion in court: “It is clear to us that it is the suspect himself who uses and abuses his fame, prestige and power at any time that it suits him. That he crosses boundaries and causes harm to people. , apparently doesn’t matter and he doesn’t even seem to notice. There are enough people willing to go out of their way for him.”
Accusations against Ali B
Rapper Ali B is accused of multiple sexual offenses against three different adult women. One of the women who filed a report is Jill Helena. Jill took part in The Voice of Holland in 2013 and reached the final of the program. Things were less pleasant behind the scenes with coach Ali B. After the revealing ANGRY episode, which exposed the abuses within the program, Jill decided to report rape. In addition to Jill Helena’s case, there are two other ongoing cases against Ali B. These concern a rape case and an assault.
When is the verdict?
Although the Public Prosecution Service has now imposed a sentence of three years, it will still take some time before we know what kind of punishment Ali B will really face. The judge is expected to rule in this case against the rapper on June 27.
