An apple is always healthy

Although one apple is healthier than another, every apple is healthy. It is a fruit and also has very few calories. An apple contains about 80 calories. In addition, an apple also contains many good vitamins. Vitamins A, C and E are found in an apple. It also contains vitamins B1, B2 and B3. So lots of vitamins. An apple contains more than just vitamins. It also contains bioactive substances. These are substances that promote health. An apple also contains magnesium. This is a mineral that is necessary for the formation of your muscles and bones, among other things.

Is a red apple healthier?

A red apple appears to be healthier than a green one. This is because it has more dietary fiber. It saves about 10 to 18 percent compared to a green apple. Not only does it contain more dietary fiber, it also has more quercetin. That is good against cardiovascular disease. A green apple contains up to 250 milligrams of quercetin per kilogram. A red apple contains almost double that amount, up to 480 milligrams. There is also more cholesterol-lowering pectin in red apples. About 33 percent more of this is contained in a red apple than a green one.

The peel of the apple

It is not yet clear where the vitamins are located in an apple. It is known that the peel of the apple has an effect on the amount of vitamins you consume. When you peel an apple, thirteen percent of the vitamin C and twenty percent of the magnesium disappear. The dietary fiber also reduces by half when you peel an apple. In short, don’t peel it if you want to get all the nutrients. A red, yellow or green apple, they are all delicious.
