Most of us are fans of a glass of wine. In a restaurant, five euros for a nice glass is still manageable, but for a fun evening with friends full of wine, you might choose to buy a cheaper bottle. It’s a shame that cheap wine is often a lot less tasty. We have found a trick with which you can also make this cheap wine taste good.

Making cheap wine taste good
It seems like a difficult task, but in reality it is a piece of cake. You can really make cheap wine from the supermarket a little tastier. It might be with a slightly strange trick, but hey, if it works…
What you do to make less tasty wine tasty is to add a few grains of salt. Yes really!
Water, er, salt with the wine
The crazy trick of adding salt was invented by a big name at Microsoft, Nathan Myhrvold. He got Gina Gallo from E. & J. Gallo Winery (one of the largest exporters of California wines) and served him, of course, wine. Gallo noted that the wine he was served had very little flavor. Nathan knew the answer to: we just add some salt!
Just wine!
Well, you guessed it, that went down well. Wine with little flavor suddenly got a big boost from a home remedy. So you know what to do when you have a glass of cheaper wine in front of you. Also a smart tip: if you don’t like someone’s wine, you can now easily solve the problem by adding salt. Then someone else might not be ashamed that he or she brought dirty wine into their home… Oops!
