This training is not without its benefits! It’s not just on Let’s Dance that celebrities are sent onto the dance floor together with real professionals every year. Presenter Zara McDermott (27) competed in the British equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 and made it together Graziano Di Prima (29) in the fifth round. In Great Britain, too, the candidates work up a sweat during training – Zara now reveals that she even injured herself!
“I literally danced my toenails off,” reveals the former Love Island candidate in a clip on Instagram in which she reflects on her year and her participation in the dance show. “It’s not a joke, I only have three toenails left,” leads Zara further out. But she is very grateful for the opportunity to have taken part in “Strictly Come Dancing”. “I would never have dared to dream of being part of the show,” enthuses the 27-year-old.
“Strictly Come Dancing” is not just the British equivalent of the German “Let’s Dance”, but also shares a female juror. Motsi Mabuse (42) wields the trowel in both programs and evaluates the dances of the participating celebrities with their professional colleagues.
