keSummer is just around the corner, and with it a brand new season of B&B Vol Liefde! This year, eight new B&B owners will open their doors to true love in Spain, France, South Africa, Scotland and Greece. We introduce them to you!
Albert (64) – Spain
In the beautiful Catalan landscape, not far from the French border and close to the Costa Brava, there is an imposing castle from the 14th century on a hill: Castell d’Emporda. The enterprising Albert, who originally comes from Brabant, is the owner of this historic building. And it is not surprising that Albert bought a historic building, because this entrepreneur loves everything that has to do with history. Albert bought the castle as an old ruin and converted it into an exclusive hotel with no fewer than 57 rooms, two swimming pools and two restaurants. It is a very popular wedding location for guests from all over the world. Albert would love to fall head over heels in love one more time. The most important thing for him is that his future partner is kind to his two children, aged five and seven. He is also looking for a calm, sporty, intelligent and warm woman.
Anja (70) – France
In Anja’s Chambres d’Hôtes you immediately end up in a warm bath. This cheerful, energetic curly haired woman is a very skilled B&B owner. More than twenty years ago she moved to France and ran a B&B with 5 rooms on her own. She has been taking things a bit easier for a few years now and owns a charming house with two guest rooms in the village of Biches, where she lives a wonderful life with her elderly cat Piet. Because this originally Arnhem B&B owner is now in calmer waters, she is starting to miss a buddy in her life. Anja is actually looking for a kind of sailor, someone who continues to sail his own course but also enjoys returning home. It is also important that he loves animals and the outdoors and does not shy away from having an in-depth conversation.
Arno (47) – France
Arno is still busy working on his French adventure. One guest room is already ready for rental, but the delighted Arno is building three more gites. He prefers to do everything himself, because DIY is also his great hobby. In addition, the cheerful Arno is an outdoorsman and enjoys walking with his two dogs Louise and Lucas. He is a busy bee who has difficulty sitting still. He always has new plans and ideas. After a life with office jobs and failed relationships, Arno wanted to get more fun out of his days and chased his French dream. He bought an old farm in Payzac, a small village in the French Dordogne. He now has his own chickens, an orchard and a vegetable garden there. Arno has built up a pleasant social life in his new place in a short time, but still misses a nice man in his life. He is looking for a sociable, enterprising and tough man, who is fit and healthy and who dares to embark on an adventure in France with him.
Iris (57) – Greece
The enterprising and colorful Iris has been renting three apartments in the Greek Sparto, a village on the west coast of the mainland, since 2017. She already knew the country well, because she regularly went there on holiday with the camper. At the time, she and her then husband, after a long career in equestrian sports, left for this heavenly place right by the sea, which she called Iris Villas. Since 2021, Iris has been running things alone and she finds that a lot less fun. That is why she is looking for a nice man with whom she can enjoy the sunset with a nice white wine and lots of ice after a day of work. Her ideal date would be to go sailing on a sailboat and have a snack and a drink. Iris likes a party and is therefore not looking for a wallflower. Iris is looking for a sweet, humorous, traveling Dutch man who is open to this Greek adventure.
Mike (35) – Spain
Seems like on paper Mike the perfect son-in-law: he is good-looking, sporty, confident, romantic, a family man and also a sensitive boy. Mike was born in Spain, but is a child of Dutch parents. He has lived in Spain all his life and also thinks in Spanish, which means he sometimes has to search for Dutch words. Five years ago, Mike took over the farm from his parents to rent it out as a B&B. He lives in the cozy loft of the farm. Together with his father and cousin, Mike also runs a water sports company on the beach of Blanes. Mike has a very strong bond with his parents and cannot live without his dog Kaos. In his spare time he enjoys techno festivals, classic cars, card and board games, walks in the mountains and occasionally gets on a horse. After years on dating apps and relationships with Spanish ladies, Mike now wants to go for a Dutch lady for the first time. He thinks that a Dutch girl suits him well because of the humor, sociability and how open and independent Dutch girls are.
Mirjam (52) – South Africa
The always cheerful Mirjam has lived mainly as an adventurous expat woman for the past twenty years. She traveled the world with her family and lived in no fewer than seven different countries over the past twenty years. She is now divorced and her children are studying in the Netherlands and her life looks completely different; Mirjam always dreamed of running a hotel and fell in love with a lodge in the Kruger Park in South Africa. Now she is the proud owner of four luxury safari tents in the middle of the bush. She recently also started running a nearby villa. Don’t be alarmed if you come across an elephant while walking around the block, that’s completely normal for Mirjam. Even though Mirjam leads a busy life and has a great time with her staff and guests at the camp, she often feels alone and is very much in need of a nice, tough man in her life. She is really looking for a buddy who wants to go on this adventure. If he has beautiful eyes and is a bit worldly, she would love to take him on safari.
Robert Jan (57) – Scotland
In the Scottish highlands, in an old hunting lodge, Robert Jan, who he claims is an old club ball, can be found. 25 years ago he fell in love with the country of rugged plateaus, mysterious lakes and historic castles and since last summer he has completely settled here. Robert Jan organizes trips for groups who want the real Scotland experience. Guests stay at his house or in one of the nearby castles. Robert Jan takes them on trips to golf, fish, hike and hunt. He organizes chic dinners, whiskey tastings and bagpipe performances. Robert Jan is looking for a woman who accepts him as he is and really understands his world and lifestyle. He likes women with energy, who are intelligent and have a positive outlook on life. Robert Jan is the father of three children and was given up by his youngest son, 11 years old, who lives in the Netherlands.
Thijz (65) – France
The expressive Thijz’s campsite in Saint-Geniez-ô-Merle, France, is a private paradise where he can give free rein to all his creativity. It is a small-scale campsite with eighteen places and guests can stay in a ready-made safari tent or camp freely. Thijz himself lives in the nearby watermill. With the title of campsite owner you are actually doing him a disservice, because Thijz is also an artist and inventor. In the summer the campsite is bursting with young families and conviviality. Thijz is of course very proud of this self-created paradise! After such a pleasant evening at the campsite, he misses having a nice woman in his life, because when he returns home to his water mill it is a lonely affair. Thijz, a man who wears his heart on his sleeve, looks forward to waking up next to a nice woman with whom he starts the day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee. He is also looking for a sweet, creative lady who has the desire and energy to run a campsite together. A woman who has both feet on the ground, but is also open to spirituality and is looking for a somewhat alternative way of life.
From July 15th
Now that we have gotten to know the new B&B owners a little better, the countdown can really begin! The fourth season of B&B Vol Liefde can be seen every Monday to Thursday at 8:30 PM on RTL 4 for nine weeks from July 15 and can be streamed a week in advance on Videoland. Moreover, on Thursday, July 11 at 8:30 PM, the special B&B Full of Love: How Is It Now Met? can be seen, in which Art Rooijakkers picks up the net from owners of the past season and notable participants from the seasons before.
