The future queen owns a lot of fashion jewels.
It is of course the royalty news of recent weeks: the succession of Denmark, where Prince Frederik and Princess Mary will be crowned king and queen. We are of course secretly curious about which regal gown Mary will be dressed in, but we will have to wait and see for a while. Before then, in this article we take a dive into her royal wardrobe. Because with her impeccable taste, the princess has a collection of prom dresses that exude pure elegance!
Glitter and glamour
We start with a portrait photo from 2022, where Mary wears a breathtaking dress by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg. This soft blue dress was especially for her 50e birthday designed. With sequins from head to toe, the crown princess radiates glamor and elegance!
Red velvet moment
Just last week, Princess Mary appeared in her deep red Birgitte Hallstein gown, which she has regularly worn at New Year’s banquets over the decades. The first time was already in 2007! A sustainable tradition, which we fully support. Because that dress suits her so beautifully!
Prints
The Danish Crown Princess is also not averse to a stylish print. She wore this rose-gold dress with a diamond pattern several times. She recently wore the dress for a state visit by King Harald and Queen Sonja of Sweden.

Mary also proves her love for prints with the floral design dress below. She wore this dress during the royal wedding in Jordan last year. It is clearly one of her favorites, because she previously wore it at the 80th birthday party of King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway in 2017, and during a gala for the American Chamber of Commerce in 2019.
Generous train
In addition to colorful prints, Mary also regularly opts for some dramatic elegance. For example, at the 2016 New Year’s reception she wore a dark blue dress with an impressive train, effortlessly making a truly royal statement.
Colorful lace
Brighter colors are also included in the princess’s wardrobe. During Princess Madeleine’s wedding in 2014, Mary appeared in a beautiful coral red lace dress. An enchanting choice!
A second life
We end the list with an absolute showstopper. Mary dazzled in this champagne-colored gown with black lace at Queen Margrethe II’s golden jubilee dinner. And this was also a sustainable choice: she gave her own Jesper Hovring gown a second life by adding the black lace layer.
Change of throne
With this stunning array of enchanting outfits, Princess Mary has proven that she is not only a future queen in name, but also in style.
