She certainly won’t be sitting still this summer!
Princess Beatrice will have many more responsibilities in the near future. She will take over a number of tasks from Princess Catherine, so that she can focus more on her recovery. This summer she will therefore be seen more and more often at royal affairs.
Busy time
With the Princess of Wales at home to focus on her recovery and King Charles who – also due to his illness – can only take on a few light royal duties, Beatrice’s help is very welcome within the royal family. Officially, the 35-year-old princess is considered a non-working member, but in the busy period ahead she is expected to attend several important events.
Activities
Princess Beatrice will accompany her uncle King Charles at the end of June during the state visit of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan to the British royal family. But after this significant, long-awaited event, Bea has no vacation. On the contrary: the royal agenda is packed with important activities this summer.
For example, the annual ceremony in honor of the birthday of the reigning British monarch – called ‘Trooping the Colours’ – is planned. Furthermore, Beatrice is reportedly expected at the Order of the Garter ceremony in mid-June and there are several garden parties at Buckingham Palace at which the royal must attend. In short: she certainly won’t sit still this summer.
New faces
The increasing presence of Princess Beatrice does not come completely out of the blue. It is claimed that King Charles would like to revive the monarchy by introducing new faces more often during major events. And it seems that Beatrice could – and would – fulfill this role perfectly in the future. Over the years, the princess has evolved into an ambitious woman full of self-confidence and style. It can therefore serve as a perfect bridge between the traditional royal family and the more contemporary trend of the moment.
