The 1910s, they still sound so recent. Yet this era is already several years behind us. One thing that defined this decade was the fashion! And like all fashion trends from previous years, the trends from the 2010’s are making a comeback! These are the trends from the 2010s that we will see again this year.
Crop tops
Crop tops were everywhere in the 2010s. Baring your midriff was all the rage. These tops were regularly combined with high waisted jeans or a high skirt. The cropped look has never really gone away completely. Yet we see that the trend will again play a huge role in the fashion of 2024. Showing some extra skin is in this year. We even dare to say that crop tops will never disappear from the streets again.
Skinny jeans
Sorry Gen Z, skinny jeans are definitely coming back. In previous years, baggy jeans were all the rage. The wider the better. Yet we see that we are going back to the jeans of the previous decade. Skinny jeans were the only jeans we wore in the 2010’s! As far as we are concerned, we would rather bring back this trend than low rise jeans.
Flower crowns
Tumblr users in 2014 were obsessed with flower crowns. Lana Del Rey fans loved it and so did the celebs on the red carpets around that time. This festival fashion will be back again this year. The boho look will generally make a comeback in 2024. Are you going to festivals this year? Then keep an eye on how many flower crowns you encounter.
Studs on heels
In the 2010’s we put studs on everything. It was possible on shoes, jackets even on a blouse. We will see the trend return in 2024, but specifically on shoes. Studded heels are making a comeback. The Valentino Rockstud shoes were the shoe of the decade. We can’t wait until we see this edgy look everywhere again this year.
Statement necklaces
In the early 2010s, your look wasn’t complete without a statement necklace. These statement necklaces were the accessory you wanted to be seen with! In recent years, minimalist jewelry was mainly in fashion. We wore subtle necklaces and a statement ring here and there. This year we’re doing a big 180 and going back to the statement necklace and maximalism of the 2010’s!
