Have you also walked outside without a coat until well into October? The weather was beautiful so a jacket was not necessary for a long time. But from November onwards autumn decided to start after all. It started to rain and it kept raining. And then December came and it even started to freeze!
Nowadays we are used to only being able to skate on natural ice for maybe two days at the end of January. But this year King Winter gave a pinprick early, because the astrological winter had not even started yet. Thanks to the cold, we walked outside in a nice warm long winter coat for women with a nice scarf and gloves to protect us from the cold. And ladies, was that coat a bit trendy or was it the same coat you bought last year that you haven’t had enough of yet?
The jacket trend for this winter
If we are to believe the media, this year we will be wearing a beautiful, stylish long coat when we go out for a chic evening. But if it’s all a bit less formal, the leather jacket is also allowed. And don’t forget the trench coat, an indestructible basic that can withstand all storms without any problems. But if you like to follow fashion, then choose the colors that are ‘hot’ this season. Fortunately, you see them in abundance in the web shops of both clothing stores and renowned fashion stores.
You can order online or make a fun day of it. For example, to Amsterdam where it is teeming with nice boutiques where you will be amazed. Of course not only when it comes to jackets, but also for a nice outfit for Christmas or for that fun party to which you have been invited.

If you don’t like shopping, there’s always the internet. You can also go there for hip and trendy fashion. You can simply buy that nice long padded coat for women online. If you are not sure about the size, you can always contact customer service to ask whether the jackets are large or small. This way you order the right size in one go and you don’t have to return any items. At the more luxurious stores, a garment can always be altered, for example if the legs of trousers are too long or if a dress needs to be taken in a bit.
Sustainable clothing
More and more people find it important that their clothing is sustainable. They want to last longer or they pass on clothes that they no longer wear to someone else. You can sell clothes that you are tired of online or make them available to a giveaway or thrift store. Even those who previously didn’t have to think about it now sometimes opt for second-hand clothing. There are even celebrities who openly say that they feel free to choose second-hand clothing, even when they appear on TV. Clothing uses quite a lot of energy to produce it. Giving your clothes a second life is therefore a very good goal!
