From vintage Balenciaga to timeless Chanel!
Film fans and glamor enthusiasts can hardly have missed it: last night the Academy Awards ceremony took place again in Los Angeles. Of course, the crème de la crème of Hollywood is being put in the spotlight here, but we would also like to award our own prizes for the best red carpet looks of the evening!
Red carpet looks
Of course, we all know that the most important film awards in the United States are presented during the Oscars. Because: who would go home with such a beautiful statue? Yet that is not the only thing we pay attention to. Naturally, Glamial also loves a nice red carpet moment. These are the A-listers who, in our opinion, should receive an Oscar for ‘Best Dressed’.
As usual, we saw the trendiest looks alternated with classic silhouettes. Many different ladies also opted for a monochrome outfit. After all, you can never go wrong with good black!

Furthermore, soft pastel shades seem to reign supreme on the red carpet – but of course with the necessary va-va-voom silhouettes full of drama, embroidered details, or super-sleek metallic edge like Zendaya.

After party looks
But only the red carpet of the Oscars themselves? Of course, that’s not enough for an evening full of glitz and glamour. Many A-listers therefore went straight to the Vanity Fair party after the nominations to celebrate their victory – or to forget their loss. Here, classic prom dresses and revealing dresses with a healthy dose of sex appeal alternated. That’s exactly why we’re also taking a closer look at our favorite after-party looks.

Big winners
The big winner of the evening was Oppenheimer, who won no fewer than seven gold statues – including those for best film, director and actor. In addition, Emma Stone won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Poor Things and the Dutch Hoyte van Hoytema won the Oscar for Best Cinematography.
Although Barbie was nominated for six awards, they still missed out on the majority of the statuettes. Billie Eilish once again received the award for best original song, for her hit What Was I Made For from the Barbie soundtrack.
