The best and most striking looks from the Grammys

Glitter, glamour, and endless outfit changes.

Last night the 66 took place in glamorous Los Angelese edition of the Grammy Awards. Naturally, all the celebs and musical talents came to this event in full regalia. And that means Glamial has once again scrolled through the endless red carpet snaps to share our favorites with you!

Classic glamour

Of course, on a red carpet we want to see a lot of glitter and drama. We leave jeans and bomber jackets at home, but we like to go all out with excessive amounts of glitter, feathers and jewels. More is more!

For example, Australian singer Kylie Minogue appeared in a red dress with a complex corset top from Dolce & Gabbana, which she matched flawlessly with an equally red lipstick. Hard to believe that the diva from down under is already 55 years old. If anyone knows her skincare secrets – we’d love to hear from you!

You always look good on a red carpet with a black dress. A dress with a lot of embroidered glitter is also always a winner. Janelle Monáe must have thought so too and opted for a daring Armani Privé gown with an eye-catching décolleté. Just a little more classic than her flowered bosom that she showed off at the pre-Grammy gala, but still very eye-catching.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio shared a sneak peek of her beautiful dress ahead of the festivities – an apparently classic mermaid silhouette gets a cool edge due to the dark latex fabric. Sexy as ever!

Singer Chloe Bailey also appeared in a nice, daring dress by the Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta. The dress is covered from head to toe with embroidered details that must have taken many hours of work.

The evening’s big winner, Taylor Swift, and singer Lana del Rey appeared side by side in contrasting outfits on the red carpet – Taylor in a couture piece by Schiaparelli, and Lana in a voluminous black dress with a nice eighties edge.

Miley, Miley, Miley

We would like to take a moment to remember singer and Grammy winner Miley Cyrus. Over the course of the evening she didn’t pull a single…

…Only five (!) looks from the closet – one more extravagant than the other, and all with a gigantic hairdo that godmother Dolly Parton would undoubtedly be proud of.

More is more! Miley clearly got the message. Well, no one wants to show up underdressed when they’re up for their first two Grammys, right?

Well suited

In addition, not everyone showed up in a formal dress. There were plenty of gentlemen who opted for a classic (and safe) tuxedo. However, a suit does not always have to be boring. Instead of a skirt suit, Lenny Kravitz went for a rock suit with leather trousers, a see-through top and a set of leather sleeves from designer Rick Owens.

The XX singer Romy Madley Croft also showed up in a suit – from head to toe in Gucci with her wife Vic Lentaigne in a matching look. The subtle dose of glitter gives this cool outfit a nice glam edge.

And the winner is…

Of course all that glitter and prom dresses are all well and good, but in the end it’s all about the awards. The big winner of the evening was singer Phoebe Bridgers, who won a total of four awards, three of which with her band Boygenius. Artists SZA, Killer Mike, Victoria Monét and several tracks from the Barbie soundtrack each received three nominations. Singers Billie Eilish, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift each took home two of the coveted statues. For colleague Lana del Rey, the evening turned out to be a bit of a downer: despite five nominations, she did not manage to win in any category.

For Taylor Swift, the evening also had an extra golden edge. With her Grammy for the album Midnights, she became the first artist to have four Album of the Year awards to her name. On to even more records!
