The experts at Married at First Sight are under fire. The matchmaking system does not seem to be very successful and this has led to the announced departure of experts Patrick van Veen and Radboud Visser. For couples like Sonny and Dylan, who did find love during the program, the departure of the experts is a big puppet show.
pocket filling
In a candid interview with Party magazine, Sonny expressed his dissatisfaction with Married at Fist Sight. “They haven’t said anything about it for years, season after season, I think to line their pockets, and now that there are comments they suddenly say: ‘whoa’. I don’t think that’s fair.” Sonny disputes presenter Carlo Boszhard’s claim that candidates receive good guidance. “We still hear from sexologist Eveline Stallaart every now and then. But no one from the other three experts, Patrick van Veen, Radboud Visser and Liselotte Visser, has ever called us, heard anything or shown interest.”
Lack of guidance after Married at First Sight
Sonny is particularly concerned about the lack of guidance after Married at First Sight. “I haven’t heard or seen them for almost a year and a half. In a way I understand them, because as a self-employed person you are of course paid by the hour, so they don’t care.” According to him, participants especially need guidance during the period after the shooting of Married at First Sight, when the episodes are broadcast on TV. “The episodes only started in January 2022 and lasted until mid-May. In all those months, none of the experts were there for us when we needed help.”
