Fairytale glamor for the Grand Duchess!
After last Tuesday’s wonderful state banquet, it was time for the performance in Brussels last night. With a festive concert, Luxembourg’s Henri and Maria Teresa thanked the Belgian royal couple for their hospitality. That was of course accompanied by the necessary glamour, and in particular we were blown away by the fantastic look of Luxembourg’s Grand Duchess!
Floral and regal
Look, we’ll be honest and say that we’re not always huge fans of Her Majesty’s eclectic wardrobe choices. But every now and then Maria Teresa conjures up an outfit that we would like to immediately hang in our own wardrobe. Last night was a good example of this: the Grand Duchess showed herself in a dreamy Oscar de la Renta gown that features a colorful design with hollyhocks from head to toe.
The halter neckline also features a load of colorful details. Her highness neatly finished the dress with a chic dark stole and a set of subtle jewelry. With such a beautiful statement dress, less is more!
Glamorous evening
In addition to Maria Teresa, the Belgian queen, Princess Mathilde, also appeared next to King Philippe in a beautiful glamor look. She opted for a snow-white Dries van Noten dress with a sunny embroidery pattern consisting of faux pearls and gold beads.
We can say that the queen looked – literally – radiant!
State visit
Today Henri and Maria Teresa’s visit to Filip and Mathilde is coming to an end. Today’s agenda includes a visit to an air base, and attention will be paid to cybersecurity by the King and the Grand Duke. Meanwhile, Mathilde and Maria Teresa visit an organization that helps missing children.
The state visit comes to a festive end today in Liège, where a ‘meeting with the population’ is on the program. Sounds good, nun? All in all, the two royal couples can look back on a successful visit!
