The wedding dress
No surprise: Kate’s wedding dress is by far the most expensive piece of clothing she has worn so far. With a price tag of around 290,000 euros, the Alexander McQueen gown is even one of the most expensive dresses of all time. However, it is a bargain compared to the wedding dress of Queen Letizia of Spain, who is still the record holder with her gown costing 7 million euros.

Chanel Chic
In 2017, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited the city of light, love and Chanel. Kate posed très romantic in front of the Eiffel Tower with William (holding hands is not allowed according to etiquette, but loving looks are) in a colorful tweed dress from Chanel. In combination with a handbag from the same designer and jewelry from Cartier, this outfit came to a total price of around 14,000 euros.
More Alexander McQueen
In addition to her wedding dress, Kate also placed other orders with Alexander McQueen, and she didn’t mind spending a dime more or less.
The pink one she wore to sister Pippa’s wedding, in combination with the matching hat and jewelry, amounts to approximately 11,500 euros. Another dress by Alexander McQueen cost around 12,000 euros. To reduce costs a bit, she wore it twice: once to the BAFTA Awards in 2017 and again (with a bit of entertainment) to the Portrait Gala in 2019.
Airplane outfit
Taking a long flight with your hair in a bun and comfy trousers is not an option for the Princess of Wales. During a visit to Canada in 2016, the young mother came off the plane in a royal blue dress from Jenny Packham that cost more than 4,000 euros, but the accessories in particular went a step further.
