Five Windsors with the same accessory? That’s suspicious…
Whatever Christmas gifts are exchanged between the royals, they naturally prefer to keep them within the palace walls. Fortunately, a little research can go a long way. When we look at the snapshots taken at Sandringham on Christmas Day, we notice that one specific accessory was worn by several eminences. And that could just be a gift from Charles.
Gifts for the Queen
Although most royals are tight-lipped about exchanging gifts during Christmas, there is always one who talks their way out of it. For example, Kate once revealed that she gave the late Queen Elizabeth a jar of homemade chutney for Christmas. “I was a bit worried about it, but I saw the chutney was on the table the next day. Such a simple gesture meant so much to me and since then I have seen her do that in many moments. It shows that the Queen is very attentive and takes care of everyone.”
Meghan also once celebrated Christmas with the royal family. What did she give the Queen as a gift? A singing toy hamster. Not the first thing that would come to mind, but Elizabeth was very pleased with it: “It can keep my corgis company!”
The same scarf five times
Anyway: every now and then we hear about a royal Christmas present, but of course we don’t get much of what is given to each other within the palace walls. Yet this year there was an observant royalty watcher who spotted a suspected present from Charles in the photos of the British royals on Christmas Day. Because guess what? When we look at the snapshots of the chatting royals, we count the same scarf no fewer than five times.

Princess Anne, her husband Sir Tim Lawrence, Lady Louise, Samuel Chatto and Count Snowdon all appeared with the same accessory around their necks. Chance? We don’t think so. As king you obviously have quite a few gifts to give at Christmas, and if you can kill not two, not three, not four, but five birds with one stone, that’s a bonus – isn’t it, Charles?
