We have been able to enjoy the ins and outs of the Meilandjes for many seasons. In addition to the spin-off, Chateau Meiland VIPs, there will soon be a very special new season of the reality series. The cheerful family is going abroad again for the tenth season of Chateau Meiland!
Destination unknown
Martien remains tight-lipped about where exactly the Meilandjes are going. “We will simply return in the autumn with Chateau Meiland. But that mainly takes place, and that is the only thing I will say about it, abroad,” said Martien, on Thursday in RTL Boulevard. The question remains whether they will return to France, where Chateau Meiland once started.
Erica reveals that the family needs change. “Reality should remain fun,” she says. “That was the last five years. But not anymore, we are getting older too. We will soon be living somewhere with Maxime and Leroy, we don’t want to work there either. I don’t want to make things up. We don’t feel like doing that.”
Spinoff
The previous season focused on the renovation of the guest house in Noordwijk and in the meantime viewers can already look forward to a special spin-off, Chateau Meiland VIPs. Well-known Dutch people will make their stay in Noordwijk unsafe. Your laughing muscles will soon be put to the test again!
Chateau
In any case, a return to the original Chateau Marillaux will not be an option. At the beginning of 2022, the Meilandjes finally managed to sell the beautiful French property. Hilariously, the new owners were completely unaware of the popularity of the Meiland family.
Because the new owners had no idea how ‘famous’ the chateau actually was, they thought they should first fill their B&B with family and friends. That ultimately turned out not to be necessary. “A lot of curious Dutch and Belgians came by who wanted to see it and sometimes stayed overnight,” the couple told the AD.
Who knows: maybe the Meiland effect will soon affect another palace?
