Kit Harington (37) has had difficult times. The Brit became a megastar through the role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. He and his co-stars have won numerous awards for the fantasy series over the years. But the actor had to struggle privately: in 2019 he checked himself into a clinic because of exhaustion and alcohol addiction. The 37-year-old now reveals this in the “The Hidden 20%” podcast. When he was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder – or ADHD for short – during his treatment, he realized that his “whole life was determined by it.” He had severe mood swings when he was young. That’s why his parents even called him “Prince of Darkness”. But thanks to the diagnosis, he was able to work on it specifically: “Fortunately, it was the right place at the right time. I managed to start a new life from there.”
The series star is now doing much better. He has been married to his “Game of Thrones” colleague Rose Leslie (36) for several years and has two children with her. He has also given up alcohol since his withdrawal. “I’m a very, very happy, content, sober man,” he said in an interview with The Sunday Times.
