Are you still looking for some cocktail inspiration? Good news! We have found a delicious drink that tastes like apple pie and Licor 43. Even better: you can have it in your glass within ten minutes.
This is what you need:
- 50 milliliters of Licor 43
- 150 milliliters of apple juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Whipped whipped cream
- Pinch of cinnamon powder
- To garnish: apple slice
This is how you make the cocktail:
- Place the apple juice together with the cinnamon stick in a saucepan and place over low heat. Heat the apple juice, but make sure it does not boil.
- Stir the Licor 43 into the warm mixture. Remove the cinnamon stick and pour the drink into a nice cocktail glass.
- Finish the cocktail with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon powder. Garnish with a slice of apple if desired.
- Enjoy!
Why that 43?
Licor 43 has been extremely popular for years. In fact, it is now said to be the most popular liqueur you can get in Spain! The secret behind the liqueur is a recipe that is said to have its roots in the third century, when the Romans discovered the so-called drink ‘Liqvor Mirabilis’.
In 1946, the Spanish Zamora family started producing the golden liqueur, and since then the fragrant liqueur has gained much popularity. The exact recipe is of course kept strictly secret, but one tip of the veil? The 43 in the name therefore refers to an ‘age-old recipe with 43 natural ingredients’.
And let’s be honest: have you ever ordered a ‘Licor forty-three’ with shame on your cheeks because the Spanish escaped you for a moment? Been there, done that. But the full name of the drink is Licor Cuarenta y tres. Never forget again!
