A recent post on his social media account is all the more surprising. Matthew gives the world a rare glimpse into his family.
The Oscar winner dedicated a heartwarming post to his 14-year-old daughter on her special day. “For Vida, who never walked past a flower without picking it: happy birthday,” writes the 54-year-old in a series of pictures on Instagram. While his second oldest looks curiously into the distance in a snapshot in the middle of a meadow, another picture shows the teenager in profile in front of a sunset. With the pictures he allows the otherwise so private Matthew a rare insight into his life as a daddy of three.
It only recently became apparent that Matthew seems to be mastering his role as dad particularly well. On his own birthday, his son Levi dedicated touching words to him. “The man who always makes time for us no matter what and the man who taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination,” the 15-year-old wrote on an Instagram post.
