Both daughters have clearly inherited their mother’s fashion gene.
Just like us, the royals are also counting down the days until Christmas, and in the meantime they are making a festive visit here and there. For example, yesterday the Belgian royal family organized a Christmas reception for employees of social organizations. An opportunity that Queen Mathilde and Princesses Elisabeth and Eléonore naturally took to put their best glamor foot forward.
Christmas reception
It was a special evening for the Belgians yesterday. 13 social organizations, 23 singers, 112 guests and an almost complete Royal Family came together to spread the Christmas spirit. Queen Mathilde and King Philip opened the festive event, but almost all the royal kids were also present: only Prince Gabriel was conspicuous by his absence.
“On the occasion of the holidays, the King and Queen wanted to thank some social organizations with which they have been in contact in recent years,” the Belgian court wrote on Instagram. “Their volunteers, staff and people they support will be there tonight.”

In the video we see the Belgian royals having a nice chat with the guests in the royal palace. In addition, there was of course room for a lot of polite laughter, fancy snacks of which it is difficult to determine exactly what is in them, and cozy (and a bit uncomfortable) posing in front of the Christmas tree.

Modestly glamorous
Mathilde clearly couldn’t wait until the holidays for the glamor and appeared at the reception in a gold-colored coat dress by designer Dries Van Noten. Added to it a new, equally golden Armani bag, and to compensate for the whole a bit, a lot less jewelry than we are used to from the Queen of Belgium.
Elisabeth, as we know the princess, opted for a more subtle look. Under the guise of less is more, she appeared in a blue, knitted midi dress from the Dutch label Reiss. The Crown Princess took a look in her mother’s closet for her earrings: they are from Carolina Herrera, and were previously worn by the Queen herself.
Éleonore kept it even more modest than her sister, and made an appearance in an INDEE glitter top that we have previously spotted on the princess. Wear red trousers underneath and voilà, you have a Christmas outfit that you will love.

All in all, the royal family was again a sight to see. We are curious: would they attend Christmas dinner at home in exactly the same outfit?
