As Daily Mail reports, the 37-year-old will not be allowed to drink alcohol or speak to the press when he is released on parole this week. “Like other prisoners released on parole, Pistorius is not allowed to give interviews to the media,” the Ministry of Corrections said. The public attention that Oscar does not distinguish him from other prisoners, so no exceptions are made. In addition, “he must not consume alcohol or other prohibited substances,” the prison authority told the BBC.
In November, the responsible court in South Africa approved the application for probation. The Paralympic athlete will be released from prison on January 5th. He was classified as a “first-time offender with a positive support system.”
