Meghan Markle paraded the red carpet at Variety’s Power of Women Gala in Los Angeles yesterday. The red carpet was studded with stars ready to celebrate women’s achievements in entertainment.
The Duchess of Sussex once again dressed in a beautiful outfit to make her appearance at the gala. She wore a one shoulder draped maxi dress from Proenza Schouler in a matte beige color. And completed her stylish and classy look with an elegant, black leather shoulder bag from the Proenza Schouler brand, and black suede leather pumps from AQUAZZURA.

Spotlights
Meghan herself was in the spotlight last year when she was honored at the grand event. This year, the Duchess of Sussex told reporters on the red carpet that she is proud to attend the gala and show her support. Good job, Meg!
In a previous interview with Variety, Meghan revealed that her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet may enter the entertainment industry in the future. “As you get older, you really want your children to find things that really make them happy,” the Duchess said. “They are of course our children, and they are part of a legacy, a tradition and a family that will have different expectations. But I want them to be able to chart their own path. If it’s the entertainment industry, great. And also: good luck. There are so many people who will talk about what opened the door for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of courage. We create multi-dimensional, interesting, friendly and creative people. That is who our children are.”
Power of Women
This year’s Power of Women winners are Billie Eilish, Carey Mulligan, Fantasia Barrino and Lily Gladstone. Margot Robbie, Josey McNamara and Tom Ackerley were awarded the Producer of the Year award as co-founders of LuckyChap. And that certainly came as no surprise, because LuckyChap is the producer of the highest-grossing film of this year: Barbie. In this ultimate pink fantasy film, Margot Robbie played the leading role and Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night was the breakthrough hit of the film.
Dua Lipa, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Ariana Greenblatt and Emerald Fennell introduced each honoree at the gala.
