You can shop here for hours and there is also a beautiful park where you can take a nice walk or even rent a boat.
The distance
Lille is located just across the French border and is therefore very easy to travel by car for a weekend trip. It is only a 3.5 hour drive from Utrecht. Perfect for a city trip by car.
Best of Belgium and France
Lille is also called Lille. Because the city is so close to the Belgian border, many Belgian influences can still be found. This way you can enjoy the best specialties of two countries. From delicious French dishes to cozy cafés with Belgian specialty beers. One thing is certain: it will certainly be a culinary weekend.
Sights
Even though the city is not that big, there is more than enough to see. Here you will find the birthplace of Charles de Gaulle, which you can now visit as a museum.
