We are seeing the trend from the 90s more and more often.
Trend alert! This versatile item from the 90s is making a striking comeback and is increasingly seen in the streets. Because whether you go for a chic, casual or playful look, with a scarf in your hair you are always right.
Comeback
It is common knowledge that fashion trends often return after a few years. For example, in the past ten years we were all captivated by trends from the 90s. Low-waist jeans, cargo pants and long denim skirts, among other things, returned to the streets. And for a while now we can add another trend to this list, because scarves – preferably with a paisley print – in the hair are also completely hot and happening in the fashion world.
It all started with American rapper 2Pac, who liked to wear a paisley bandana around his head. He owned the scarves in all sorts of different colours and this fashion statement was soon adopted by the general public. Not only men, but also women regularly stepped out of the house in the 90s with an elegant scarf in their hair.
Men vs. Women
Men usually rocked the scarf à la 2Pac, tied tightly around the head. Women, on the other hand, tied it stylishly in a triangle with the point towards the back. This retro look is now back in fashion, with street style stars from all over the world embracing the scarf.
Can’t wait to try out this trend, but don’t know how to style it? The great thing about this accessory is that you can effortlessly combine it with any look. Whether you opt for a relaxed casual outfit or put on your chic suit, the scarf always adds a touch of elegance to your ensemble. But to make it easy for you, we’ll help you get started with a few examples:

Although the trend officially started as a scarf with a paisley print, you can also go for one of the many other motifs. Sometimes we just prefer a more quiet pattern, or a crocheted version combines just that little bit better with our outfit. It’s all possible!
