As a royal, you must of course continuously show your involvement and compassion for all kinds of good works and great initiatives. And at the same time you have to smile friendly, wave, and look a bit fashionable. Yesterday, Queen Letizia appeared on the scene in an outfit that contained a special reference to the organization where she was a guest.
Fashion queen
We have known for some time that the doña is not averse to a fashion statement here or there. From H&M dresses with a tiara and special hole creations to criticism of her ‘too young’ outfits that she doesn’t care about, Leti charts her own course in the field of fashion. And of course we can only appreciate that.
During a visit to the Spanish organization APRAMP yesterday afternoon, Letizia emerged in a nice classic outfit: tweed jacket, neat trousers and a pair of low mules. Nothing special about it, you might think.
Actions rather than words
Yet Leti’s outfit has a lot to do with the organization she visited. APRAMP stands for Asociación para la Prevención, Reinserción y Atención de la Mujer Prostituida. This organization is concerned with preventing trafficking in women and helping victims who have escaped from that world.
An extremely important initiative, of course. To help the ladies they welcome find a place, APRAMP ensures, among other things, that they can follow training and education to learn new skills – such as in the field of needlework and fashion.
And yes: under her Carolina Herrera coat, Letizia wore a red tweed jacket, which was made within the APRAMP workshop!
Moreover, it seemed that during her visit she already had her eye on a second copy for the royal wardrobe…
Ha! We understand Leti – a nice tweed jacket is not an unnecessary luxury at the moment. Stylish, classic, and nice and warm!

Of course, the visit was not just about stylish jackets. For example, Letizia was given a tour of APRAMP’s headquarters, during which she spoke to those who keep the organization running and to victims who had now found a second chance through APRAMP.
In short: Leti is more than just a stylish lady, but it is extra fun if you can combine your heart for fashion with an important initiative. You go, your highness!
