A good foundation is the basis of your makeup. But we often face one major dilemma: finding the right color. This can be quite a challenge. Fortunately, we have discovered the trick so that you always choose the right color foundation!
The right color
Then it is just too dark again, then just too light again. It remains quite a search. If you choose the wrong color, your look can quickly look unnatural because it won’t match the rest of your skin. Fortunately, that eternal dilemma is over, because we have a few useful tips.
Skin type
Before you immediately look at the color, you must first determine what type of skin you have. Do you have dry skin? Then a foundation with a moisturizing effect is good for your skin. Is your skin a bit oilier? Then a foundation with a matte finish is better to compensate for this. You also have to consider what look you want to achieve. Are you going for a glow, a natural look or good coverage with a matte effect?
Undertone
Okay, now it’s time to look at the color. To do this, you must first determine what the undertone of your skin is. Do you have a warm undertone, a cool undertone or a neutral undertone? To find out, you can hold a white towel or shirt next to your face. Do you see shades of pink and blue? Then it has a cool undertone. Do you see yellow or peachy colors? Then you have a warm undertone. Green tones actually have a neutral undertone.
Just test
To really find the perfect match, you just have to test it. So choose a few foundations that match your undertone and skin color. You may be tempted to test them on your palm, but this may differ from the color on your face. Therefore, test it in daylight, or at least cool light, and apply it to your face. And do you have doubts about which one is the best? Always go for the warmest color, because this ensures that your skin glows!
