Just like the previous cartoon, the live-action remake of Avatar: The Last Airbender is also proving to be very popular. Within two weeks, the series has about 40 million views on Netflix worldwide. No wonder the streaming service just confirmed that there will be two more seasons of the series. Yip Yip!
Netflix remake Avatar: The Last Airbender
There is a good chance that many people in the Netherlands have also seen the live-action remake of Avatar: The Last Airbender. In the first two weeks, the Netflix series reached number 1 in 76 countries and was in the top 10 of most streamed series on Netflix in 92 countries. Actually not surprising, because the cartoon from the zeros also scored well at Nickelodeon. People will probably get nostalgic feelings about the new series on Netflix, which is very similar to the cartoon. The live-action characters are almost identical to the cartoon characters. That’s why you may have binge-watched all eight episodes of season 1 in no time and are now in the familiar black hole. Well, don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll figure it out soon. Netflix confirmed two new seasons of Avatar: The Last Airbender on Thursday morning. OMG!

Seasons 2 and 3 confirmed
Due to the great success of the live-action remake Avatar: The Last Airbender, streaming service Netflix immediately decides to confirm both seasons 2 and 3. The announcement is made via a video, in which the cast is video calling each other. Daniel Dae Kim, better known as Fire Lord Ozai, can share the good news. And he does so in a rather special way. At first it seems that the series will be cancelled. What? But then the actor suddenly says: “They can’t announce season 2, because they want to announce… seasons 2 and 3!” Of course the cast is very happy with that. The virtual balloons fly through the screen. Yes! “Daniel, screw you!” shouts actor Gordon Cormier, who plays main character Aang in the series.

Just like original
By the way, true fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender could actually expect a second and third season. The cartoon about Aang also had a total of three seasons. In addition, the first season of the live-action remake is clearly not finished yet. This is just the beginning of a much bigger war. In any case, seasons 2 and 3 of the series promise a lot of cool visual effects. Although season 3 will ultimately be the last season. Fortunately, it will take some time before we completely get out of the ‘Avatar bubble’. A fan on social media channel X is betting that the series will remain a success in any case. Even critical viewers may still tune in for the next season, partly thanks to the beautiful images.
It is not yet known when filming of season 2 will begin.
Honestly, I enjoyed it #AvatarNetflix I give it a pass because they weren’t pulling back on the budget, which this show DESERVES! The bending scenes were awesome 🌊🔥 But WTF is up with Aang NOT LEARNING WATER BENDING AT ALL 😭 pic.twitter.com/OTAh6Iatvs
