Not only is she extremely famous in the Netherlands, Patty Brard also achieved world fame with her pop group Luv. Since then, Patty has been through a lot in her life, both ups and downs. Videoland series about Patty Brard
Although the PATTY series on Videoland is dramatized, all situations are of course based on the real life of Patty Brard. And the makers of the new series have done their best. For example, actress Eva van de Wijdeven, who plays the adult Patty, looks very much like one of the most famous women in the Dutch entertainment world. In the five-part series we see Patty’s life from the beginning of her career to pretty much now. As a result, we see dramatized fragments from her time with the pop group Luv, with which she created worldwide fame. Although we also see a lot of downs, such as the painful dive in the TV program Star Jumping. In addition, as we know, Patty has struggled a lot with her weight.

“PATTY is about trial and error,” says director Will Koopman in the press release about the PATTY series. “I really wanted to make this series, because this woman has fallen quite a few times, but has always climbed back up and reinvented herself. I have enormous admiration for that.” The release date of the Videoland series about Patty is getting closer. That is why Videoland has shared some first images. Take a quick look at them below:
Eva van de Wijdeven
Not only does the PATTY series on Videoland become a celebration of recognition because of the events. We also see a number of well-known actors and actresses in the series. It was previously announced that Eva van de Wijdeven and Holly Mae Brood will play the adult and young version of Patty. Holly is then assisted by actresses Julia Lammerts (José) and Teunie de Brouwer (Marga) in the pop group Luv. Then we have the role of Gerard Joling, who of course presented Star Jumping. He is played by Dook van Dijck.
New cast members announced
Only which actors, for example, play Patty’s exes, of which she does have a number? Or what about her daughter Priscilla. Together with the first images of PATTY, Videoland also announced new cast members. Chris Peters plays Patty’s first husband Ron Boszhard and the handsome Jim Bakkum plays her third ex René. Ooh! Mattijn Hartemink takes on the role of her current husband Antoine.
As for Patty’s family, her parents are played by Nadja Hüpscher and Bo Tarenskeen. Then Patty’s own daughter Priscilla is played by Dewi Welschen (younger version) and Emma Buysse (older version).
When to see?
As mentioned, we don’t have to wait much longer for the PATTY series. Videoland will hold the festive premiere of the series at the Huishoudbeurs in the RAI Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon, February 18. The series PATTY can then be streamed exclusively at Videoland from this date.
