‘I just love food too much’
For Miljuschka Witzenhausen, 2024 is all about a new start. On the advice of her doctor, she adopted a healthier lifestyle and started losing weight. In her own newsletter, the TV chef shares how the weight loss race has gone so far.
Good intentions
Miljuschka thinks she is well on track with her good intentions to eat healthier and exercise more. “It seems like it’s been January for three months already… But I’m still busy. I eat a lot healthier, I exercise every week and, especially when the sky is clear blue, I take amazing walks.”
However, the TV chef also admits that it is not always easy to maintain her new lifestyle. “Yet I notice that it is becoming more difficult every day. Especially when it’s cold, I want to drink liters of hot chocolate with mountains of whipped cream and wolf down plates of steaming bolo (spaghetti bolognese, ed.).”
Confirmation
Despite knowing that it is good for her, Miljuschka is now once again confirmed that 100 percent healthy eating is not her thing. “I just love food too much. But I think almost the whole of the Netherlands is struggling with this dilemma and that is precisely why dieting is not a hobby for anyone.”
Healthy self-image
Miljuschka recently told Glamial that she has not always had a healthy self-image in the past. “For a long time I thought I would be happy if I was a size zero,” she revealed at the time. “But once I fit into the smallest sizes, it didn’t do anything for me. You let the scale rule your life, but for what purpose? I don’t think it’s worth it, because I just really love food.”
However, the fact that she has now started losing weight does not mean that she wants to go back to size zero. She mainly created her new lifestyle because she wants to live a healthier life in general. She is therefore determined to keep it going. “We go on. Shoulder it up and go. Fortunately, I now know exactly what is healthy and tasty.”
