An important lesson for young Waleses.
Christmas is all about togetherness – good food with the family, enjoying an extensive dinner together… but in the spirit of Christmas, many people also seize this opportunity to do something good for their fellow man. This includes Princess Kate and her offspring!
Royal Christmas spirit
Christmas is Kate’s season, as she proves once again. Last weekend the Princess of Wales hosted her Together at Christmas service for the third year in a row, and a day later treated the Waleses to the atmospheric family photo that adorns their Christmas card this year.
As if that wasn’t enough, the princess showed herself at her noblest at a local baby bank, together with Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte. Here, less fortunate people can rely on donated toys or second-hand clothing, in order to obtain much-needed toys or warm clothing for their own offspring. Earlier this year we also saw Kate make a solo appearance at a baby bank, where she also rolled up her sleeves. With her Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, the princess has been committed to young children and their parents for some time.
Important message
Yesterday, the Waleses shared a special video of their visit to the baby bank via their official YouTube channel. Fans of the Crown Prince Family couldn’t believe their luck, because it is one of the rare moments when we get to hear the Wales children speaking!
The images show how George, Charlotte, and Louis each carry a large bag with their own donations upon arrival, and then get to work between their mother and the other volunteers. We also see how the princess explains to her offspring what the idea of the evening is: “Here are a lot of people who give up their time to come and help, and you are tonight’s volunteers.” An extremely important message to pass on to your offspring, and so noblesse oblige.
Enthusiastic
Several volunteers from the baby bank also shared that the young Waleses really enjoyed their work that evening. “They were very enthusiastic about helping, which was lovely. Charlotte seems to enjoy organizing things,” one of the employees told Hello! Magazine. For example, we see Princess Charlotte enthusiastically holding up a dragon print romper and shouting: “This is Welsh!”
“And Louis was of course very enthusiastic. As soon as he saw the toys, he jumped at it and picked out all the big animals, which was very amusing,” the same volunteer also shared. In the video, Louis can be seen proudly holding up a giant gorilla and exclaiming: “This is a big one!”
All in all, it seems that the Wales offspring have learned a beautiful lesson from their mother. At the end of the video we hear Kate reveal that George is definitely planning to come back. That bodes well for the young son of the Crown Prince!
