What does the Duchess eat?
One thing is certain that Meghan Markle has a princess figure. But how does she actually maintain that royal line? We give you an insight into her food diary!
Breakfast
Meghan knows better than anyone that it is important to start your day with a varied and healthy breakfast. She often starts the day with oatmeal. She adds almond or soy milk, pieces of banana and some agave syrup. On days when she doesn’t feel like oatmeal, she opts for an açaà bowl. Plant-based milk is also used for this, over which, among other things, acai berries, banana, nuts and seeds are sprinkled.
Lunch
Meghan believes it is important to get a good distribution of fiber, vitamins, healthy fats and carbohydrates at lunch. An option she often goes for at this time of the day is avocado toast. Toast some bread, smash avocado on it, add some salt and pepper and voilà ! If she needs extra protein, she adds a poached egg.
Although Meghan eats a largely vegan diet, she sometimes makes an exception by eating fish. Fish tacos with peppers, onions and grilled white fish are especially popular.
Dinner
Although Meghan varies a lot with the evening meals she prepares, pasta is one of her favorites. Especially cacio e pepe, a pasta with black pepper and sheep’s cheese, is often on the menu. Roasted chicken, or roasted chicken from the oven, also often does well.
Snacks
To ensure she has enough energy throughout the day, Meghan regularly snacks between her three major meals. However, she does keep it healthy. She is especially a fan of vegetable chips, an apple with almond butter, carrots with hummus and a chia pudding. We know that again!
