The new season of Big Brother has now really started. The first week is over and the first dropout has been announced. Although a plot twist arises after the first live show due to an unexpected departure of resident Sonja. Suddenly there is a double exit! In the first week of the new season of Big Brother we meet 26-year-old Sonja. In daily life she is the manager of a catering business and works part-time as a teacher at a primary school. The reason she is now participating in the popular reality program is because she wants to get to know herself better. She wants to discover how she develops within a group full of ‘strangers’. Although she also really wants to go to Japan. A trip to Japan is what she would spend the jackpot on. But she has to win first, of course, and unfortunately it is not made easy for her.
In the first week, she was nominated in no time together with her duo partner Tom. Unfortunately, they get a box with a nomination together during a kind of ‘Russian roulette’. In addition to Sonja and Tom, the strong participant Ashley is also nominated by fellow resident Danny. His win during the first Power of Nomination challenge allowed him to make this choice.
Plot twist: double exit
From the moment three residents were nominated, the fate was in the hands of the livestream and TV viewers. In the live show on Saturday, Tom is then the first to be forwarded to the second week. Sonja and Ashley both have to leave the house, but not yet permanently. One of them is still allowed to go back into the house through the revolving door. Unfortunately, it is Ashley who is then in the studio with presenters Geraldine Kemper and Tatyana Beloy. Aww… Something she “expected somewhere”, she tells them. “I had strong opponents,” Ashley said. She was an articulate resident in the house. Maybe this is what killed her.
Although Sonja returns to the house, this ultimately turns out not to be for long. She also leaves the house unexpectedly not long after Ashley. On Monday morning, a special video message from Sonja to viewers and her fans will appear on Big Brother’s social media:

Mental health
Of course, a lot went around among the livestream viewers as soon as they suddenly stopped seeing her. It turns out that Sonja has a good reason why she left the Big Brother house. According to Play4, she suffered from her mental health. “The tension during the live show was too much for Sonja,” Play4 said. Things went wrong as soon as she was nominated together with Tom and Ashley. “Afterwards she was overcome with stress and did not feel well,” the TV channel explains. “Sonja wants to put her health first and has therefore decided to voluntarily leave the house this morning.”

Two new residents
In the meantime, the second week has started. Now that not one but two residents have left, it is time for some new residents: two residents to be precise. The day after the live show, Dutch Jimmy and Flemish Doriana entered the house. In addition, Rohani, Dilano and Basiri have now moved from the mirror room to the real house. Pleasant!
