What is a capsule wardrobe?
You put together a capsule wardrobe for every season. The idea is that you can put together as many outfits as possible with as few items as possible. Many people do this from a minimalist point of view or for sustainability. You then work with timeless items that are easy to combine with each other. What is the 333 method?
The 333 method was started on TikTok by Rachel Spencer. Her idea is that you have three tops, three pairs of pants and/or skirts and three pairs of shoes. Your capsule wardrobe consists of nine items that you can alternate with each other. The idea is that you can style any top with any pants or skirt and also combine any pair of shoes with any outfit. To put together the perfect capsule wardrobe, it is important that you choose different items that are easy to style, but clearly differ from each other. For example, go for a top with a light color, one with a dark color and perhaps one with a brighter color. Also make a distinction in the model. For example, go for tops that you can easily style in a casual outfit, but also for something more formal. By combining different items with each other you can always create very unique looks. For shoes, for example, add a pair of sneakers, a pair of boots and a pair of heels. This way you can easily change the vibe of your outfit. Finally, add your favorite accessories to your capsule wardrobe to make your outfits even more unique! This form of capsule wardrobe is ideal for when you travel, or for when you simply want to minimize your closet!
