Claudia previously talked to De Telegraaf about Harold’s battle against alcoholism. She said: “Harold and I were separated at the end because he was an alcoholic and I couldn’t take it anymore. On our son’s birthday he had a relapse and I got angry. He was shocked himself. that he could do something like that on his son’s birthday. Unfortunately, Harold didn’t make it. He committed suicide: without a note and without a goodbye.

Despite her loss, Claudia has now lost her heart to a new man. After a period of secret dates, Claudia and William are officially a couple.
