Recently we have been able to watch how Gerben was linked to Erik in Married at First Sight. Although Gerben and Erik already knew each other and this seemed promising, no love ignited in Erik. It was Gerben who thought he deserved more and decided to divorce Erik in MAFS. But now we are all curious: what is the status of Gerben’s love life today?
‘Be careful’
In an interview with Veronica Superguide, the Brabander states that he is currently still single. Gerben also feels no pressure to rush in looking for a partner. “The experts at MAFS also advised me: ‘Be careful’.” Because since his appearance on MAFS on national television, he’s been getting plenty of requests and DMs.

What is Gerben open to when he would allow a partner again? “A sweet, caring and reliable man. Not an overly feminine type,” he says. “During one of the test days, a mother even asked if I didn’t want to marry her daughter, so that we could skip this whole circus. It’s all so cute and fun, what I experience.” The only criticism he received was from a woman who said, “Why don’t you take off that fake quiff of yours?” But that doesn’t affect him. “No not at all!”
