King Charles (75) gets a really cute nickname from his grandchildren. Because he is not only a committed king, but also a devoted grandfather. He is the grandfather of five grandchildren. Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) are the children of his eldest son Prince William (41). The two youngest, Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2), are from his son Prince Harry (39). The one who is just five years old Prince Louis gives him a special nickname, inspired by the late Queen Elizabeth II (✝96).
The Queen called her grandfather, according to the Mirror king George V. “Grandpa England”. Her great-grandchildren are doing the same! George, Charlotte and Louis call their grandfather king Charles “Grandpa Wales” as he was Prince of Wales for 64 years. Apparently the nickname tradition runs through the royal family. Despite royal regulations and traditions, they are probably like any other family.
It is not known what King Charles’ grandchildren Archie and Lilibet call their grandfather. Due to Harry and Duchess Meghan (42) moving to the USA, there is hardly any opportunity for the king to see them. Harry isn’t happy about that either. Although the youngest Lilibet is already two years old, King Charles did not see her often.
