I’m sorry, what? Mike Heiter (31) is a candidate for the jungle camp this year. Alongside Heinz Hoenig (72), Kim Virginia Hartung (28) and Cora Schumacher (47), he ventures into the Australian bush and forgoes any luxury for around two weeks. Cigarettes are allowed, however – but the Love Island star is actually a non-smoker. Mike is now starting to cook for the jungle camp!
In his Instagram story, the reality star explains that he now wants to take up the unhealthy hobby. The reason: Although Mike doesn’t smoke, he is still addicted to nicotine because he regularly consumes snus – small tobacco pouches that are placed in the mouth. “I’ve never smoked in my life, only flavored e-cigarettes. Then five years ago I switched to snus,” he explains. These are not allowed in the jungle camp, which is why he has to switch to cigarettes. “In the jungle you’re so stressed out on your nerves, you don’t sleep much, you eat little… It’s really good to have nicotine, that’s why I’ve started with cigarettes and then I’ll stop again.”
However, the beginning of his smoking career was anything but easy for Mike. “It tastes like shit… it’s not mine,” he admitted, coughing after his first cigarette. Elena Miras’ ex (31) now seems to have gotten used to it and explains in his story: “I’ve already become a professional!”
