Last weekend Letizia settled in Zaragoza for a small reunion with Princess Leonor, but on Tuesday the queen made her appearance again in Madrid. There she presented the Gran Angular Award and the El Barco de Vapor Award for children’s literature. All very important of course, but what caught our eye was her affordable blazer from Mango.
Budget items
Let’s be honest: it makes little difference what you wear to Letizia. The queen would still look beautiful in a messed up garbage bag, and she makes great use of that fact. From designer prom dresses to skinny jeans and mountains of wedges: you name it, you can find it in Leti’s closet. Budget items also appear with some regularity. And in that category the Spanish queen has a new addition: a beautiful blazer from Mango that immediately makes us greedy.
Recycling trend
We increasingly spot royal ladies in a recycled look. Our own Máxima is a big supporter of the trend, Crown Princess Victoria likes to participate and even Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene occasionally shows up in a previously worn item. And although Letizia also regularly goes on the recycling tour, a good balance is of course important. After all, as a royal you cannot keep showing up in the same outfit. Leti must have thought so too, because the queen appeared on Tuesday in a brand new blazer – but without a ridiculously expensive price tag.
Mango blazer
Letizia made her appearance in a cream-colored outfit, of which UFO No More tells us that the blazer comes from the collection that Mango created in collaboration with Victoria Beckham.
The queen bought the item for a mere 190 euros. Now there is of course discussion about whether this is really budget-proof, but it is in any case a lot more feasible than the items in which royals normally make an appearance.
